Dutch research institute DLO from Wageningen is going to do research in its laboratory on humates which are produced by PWN Technologies’ recently opened water treatment plant at Andijk.

PWN Technologies is looking for ways to re-use and market humates, together with Reststoffenunie. Humate is a side product of producing drinking water with ion exchange. DLO is asked to put down a profile of demands for various applications in the field of horticulture. If potentially interesting applications can be identified lab tests and plant experiments will follow.
