Athena Lindsay

Athena Lindsay, Sales Engineer, PWNT

PWNT welcomes aboard Athena Lindsay, who joins us as a Sales Engineer. Hailing from Alabama, USA, she completed her B.Sc. in Biological Engineering at Louisiana State University and her M.Sc. at IHE Delft in Urban Water & Sanitation – Water Supply Engineering. She had worked with PWNT previously  as part of her M.Sc. research in which she applied MFI-UF to the ultrafiltration and reverse osmosis membranes at Andijk. Bringing much energy to the team, Athena is especially excited to apply her passion for drinking water treatment by learning more about PWNT’s technologies from her colleagues.

Why did you join PWNT?

I joined PWNT because it was important to me to work in the drinking water treatment sector for a company that is true about offering sustainable solutions. PWNT’s technologies, like CeraMac® and SIX®, are excellent solutions for water treatment needs around the world. PWNT is very knowledgeable about this sector, building on over 100 years of experience under a drinking water company, so I knew there would be a lot to learn here. In my experience as a M.Sc. intern at PWNT, the work environment was challenging but engaging with friendly colleagues. It was really a no-brainer.

What is your #MissionWater at PWNT?

To me, #MissionWater is about making water accessible to everyone and being conscious and mindful about how to do that by incorporating factors such as social and environmental impact, not just cost. It’s important to me to bring more attention to the social and environmental factors that are sometimes forgotten in engineering. At PWNT as a Sales Engineer, I want to ensure that our solutions will be a good fit for the client in all these categories. It’s important to have clear, strong communication with the client, and always circle back to #MissionWater to make sure the project can help achieve it.
